Torah Portion: Vay’yakhel

Description

This is Bill’s commentary on the Torah portion – Vay’yakhel (“He assembled”). In this parsha, Moses invites the entire nation to participate in the construction of the mishkan by bringing the items needed to build it. This commentary focuses on the fact that each member of the nation had to function in their purpose whether by bringing donations or taking those items and transforming them into the articles according to the pattern Moses was shown in the mountain. Highlights include:

• The special mission of Betzalel and Oholiav
• The need for wisdom
