Description
This is Bill’s commentary on the torah portion, Bemidbar or “in the wilderness.” In this portion, the nation is counted or “mustered” for battle as Israel begins the process of possessing the land of Canaan. The twelve tribes are numbered and assigned to their respective camps and each of those camps are assigned to various positions around the mishkan. In this configuration we see a replica of the Heavenly Court complete with the four living creatures. This sidrah also designates the Levitical families as a “bodyguards” who camped around the mishkan. Also these different families are assigned the task of transporting the Sanctuary as well as protecting its sanctity. (Approximately 70 minutes).
