Description
This series contains Bill’s commentaries on the Torah Portions in the book of B’midbar or Numbers. This book’s primary focus is upon the laws and history of the mishkan (tabernacle) in the wilderness. More than just being a chronicle of events, it interprets these events as well in a relevant manner for our times, e.g. the dangers of rebellion. Furthermore, many of the commandments and events contained in this book hint at the nature and role of the Messiah. The Portions are:
*B’midbar – “In the wilderness” (Num. 1:1 – 4:20)
*Naso – “Take the sum” (Num. 4:21 – 7:89)
*Beha’alotcha – “When you kindle” (Num. 8:1 – 12:16)
*Shelach L’cha – “Send for yourself” (Num. 13:1 – 15:41)
*Korah – (Num. 16:1 – 18:32)
*Chukat – “Ordinances” (Num. 19:1 – 22:1)
*Balak (Num. 22:2 – 25:9)
*Pinchas (Num. 25:10 – 29:40)
*Mattot – “Tribes” (Num. 30:1 – 32:42)
*Massei – “Journeys” (Num. 33:1 – 36:13)
