Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. (Psalm 96:2-3)
If you are reading this I would presume that you are a believer, maybe for quite a long time. I would also presume that you remember the day, the place and situation when you were born again and experienced the Lord’s salvation. Since then, how often have you proclaimed the good news of His salvation? Have you shared your experience with people daily or even weekly?
It is important for us to consider this because, having knowledge of something spectacular and miraculous, without recounting it might lead some to take it for granted. If we share it publicly and consistently, not only are others made aware of God’s goodness, but we get to experience the joy we first felt when that miracle occurred. This is true for any and all miracles God has performed for us. If we neglect to share these things, we might forget them and their importance fades into the past. That would be a shame.
You see, we are supposed to declare His glory among the nations and peoples. We, who profess to be His servants, are tasked with making His Name great among the people of the earth. Quite frankly, there are a lot of people who don’t know Him or anything about Him, There are many who, like Pharaoh of old say, “Who is the LORD and why should I obey Him?” It is our duty to proclaim His mighty works to the nations that they might know Him and serve Him. So then, as faithful witnesses, it is important that we proclaim the good news of His salvation daily so that the peoples will know there is a God in Heaven who desires to be their God too.
Blessings and Shalom,
Bill
