Good Morning.

These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; and from these the nations were divided on the earth after the flood. (Genesis 10:32)

A good portion of Genesis 10 describes the different families (nations) that descended from the three sons of Noah — Japheth, Ham and Shem — and states that they were divided into their respective lands. Centuries later, Moses stated that it was the Almighty who apportioned the nations their lands and boundaries.

“The Most High divided their inheritance to the nations, when He separated the sons of Adam; He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the children of Israel.” (Deuteronomy 32:8)

The point is this: God is the only One authorized to establish boundaries whether it is between light and darkness, the sea and dry land or the nations of the earth. Furthermore, He establishes boundaries between right and wrong, clean and unclean, holy and profane. Therefore, He is the only One authorized to adjust those boundaries. Nevertheless, man continually disregards these boundaries and, in some cases, attempts to erase them altogether.

When the US Supreme Court determined that marriage between two of the same sex is equal to marriage between a man and a woman is equivalent to erasing boundaries that the Creator has established. When those born male “identify” as female and are supported by the courts, this is a blatant disregard for boundaries God has established. When people scream for a borderless society, effectively advocating for a one-world system, they are challenging the authority of the Almighty.

You and I should stand in sharp contrast to this position. We are here to represent to the world what is true, pure and holy. Part of that mandate is to faithfully support and, if need be, defend those boundaries that God has established. We are the ones who are to live by standards that distinguish between clean and unclean, thereby teaching the nations these standards. If we do not hold fast to these standards, the world will continue to remove borders and boundaries until there are no standards, whatsoever.

Let us, therefore, recommit ourselves to live up to the call that God has placed upon us. As Peter said:

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

Blessings and Shalom,
