Good Morning.
Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. (Genesis 2:19)
From the beginning, the Creator of all things has invited man to participate and cooperate with Him in the care of His creation. Moreover, the Sovereign of the Universe delegated certain authority and responsibilities to mankind including what is related in the verse above. However, when Adam disobeyed the Creator’s command, that authority was compromised making it necessary for the Messiah to restore what had been lost.
It is in the Messiah that you and I derive our authority over the darkness of this world. He said:
“I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy…” (Luke 10:19).
In Him, we have been given the authority to overcome the world because He has overcome the world. Today, let us take authority over the dominion of darkness and walk in the authority that He has entrusted to us. May we come to exhibit to the world a truth that was declared long ago:
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.” (Proverbs 29:2)
