Good Morning.

“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”

(Genesis 2:7)

The Hebrew word that is used as “formed” actually means “to squeeze, shape or mold.” It conveys the notion that, as the Master Potter, God took the clay from the earth and shaped the man into the image that He had ordained.

The same can be said of each and everyone of us — when we submit to His Will, He shapes and molds us into the image of His Son. Sometimes, the squeezing isn’t fun because that process is usually associated with trials and tests. But if we are to be made into the image that He has ordained, we must allow ourselves to be placed upon the potter’s wheel and be shaped into what He wants us to be. Allowing struggles and trials to touch our lives is His way of forming a vessel He can use and be pleased with.

Blessings and Shalom,

Bill
