Description
For so long, western Christianity has looked to charismatic and “gifted” leaders as their primary spiritual role models. American Christians, specifically, tend to place a great deal of importance upon outward manifestations, many times at the expense of biblical virtues. Yet, Scripture places no such emphasis on charisma or the glorification of gifts. Instead, the Bible consistently challenges the believer to produce the fruit of the Spirit. The very reason God provides His people with gifts is to enable them to produce the fruit. In this study, we provide a thought-provoking analysis of the 21st century church. This is intended to inspire the listener to be a more balanced believer and to provide a remedy for some of the ills within the Body of Messiah.
