Today is considered to be the commemoration of the third day of Creation.  According to the Scripture, here’s what happened on the third day:

Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear” and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth” and it was so. (Genesis 1:9-11)

After the dry land appeared, notice that God called forth the grass, the herb yielding seed and the fruit bearing trees. In other words, the Bible reveals that He did not create these things on the third day. If He didn’t create them on the third day, when did He create them? I adamantly believe the seed for these things were created when the Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” That statement suggests that everything needed for the heavens and the earth to function according to His purpose was brought into being then and there. The point would be this: if the seed for the grass and the fruit trees was created “in the beginning,” then it was in the ground waiting for all the proposer conditions to come together so that it might be called forth.

According to Scripture, all of mankind  are regarded as sons and daughters of Adam, shaped in iniquity (Psalm 51) and born of a corruptible seed. That’s why, in order to be reconciled back to the Creator, we have to be born again of the Incorruptible Seed, which is the Messiah. Furthermore, because we have been born again of the Incorruptible Seed, everything we need in order to become the individual and the Body that God has ordained us be is already contained in that Seed. But just like natural seed, sometimes it has to wait for all the proper conditions to come together in order to produce the fruit — it has to wait for the Creator to call it forth.

Everyone who has truly been born again of the Messiah, has everything they need to become what the Creator has intended them to be. Sometimes one seed will start growing before another,  and one will begin to produce fruit before another but each seed already has to power to produce its fruit. John worded it this way:

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13)

Every person who has believed upon His name has been born again of the Incorruptible Seed and already has everything they need to bear fruit. The same is true for the Body at large — we already possess what we need to be what He has called us to be. However, looking at this prophetically, it seems to me that we are still waiting for all the proper conditions to come together before we come into the fruition of what we are to be as His people, collectively. In other words, I believe we are living in the prophetic Third day, which means that what has been concealed is being revealed, just as the earth was revealed when the Seas were gathered into one place. Furthermore, He is beginning to call forth all the hidden seed — His sons and His daughters — that has been waiting in the earth for the perfect time to rise up and produce fruit.

All in all, though we live in a perilous time, it’s a very exciting time to be alive. Let us commit ourselves, then, to listen very intently for His voice as He calls us forth to do His work and fulfill His purpose in these last days.

Shalom.
